dc.description.abstract	This case study presents Finnish Open Science and Research Initiative (ATT) for the years 2014-2017. Initiated by the Finnish Ministry of Education and Culture with an aim of making Finland one of the leading countries in open science and research by the year 2017, the initiative was carried out in co-operation with ministries, research and higher education institutions and research funders around four pillars: 1) Reinforcing the intrinsic nature of science and research; 2) Strengthening Open Science expertise; 3) Ensuring a stable foundation for the research; 4) Improving visibility and impact of science in the innovation system and society at large. This case study discusses the initiatives, its key challenges and drivers, drawing key lessons learnt and policy conclusions for progressing open science in Europe.	es
